St Baldrick's Foundation is the world’s largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. Thousands of volunteers shave their heads in solidarity with children fighting cancer, requesting donations of support from friends and family. See the facts about St Baldrick's.

St Baldrick's of the Upstate is a group of volunteers in Upstate South Carolina who plan, organize and execute a fund raiser for childhood cander research each spring. Since 2008,

• In 2008, St Baldrick's of Upstate SC gathered at Soby's New South Cuisine and raised $46,330 "for the kids."
• In 2009, St Baldrick's of Upstate SC gathered at Falls Park on the Reedy, shaved 104 heads and raised $46,934 "for the kids."

• In 2010, St Baldrick's of Upstate SC gathered at Larkin’s on the River at Peace Center Wyche Pavilion, shaved 138 heads, and raised $73,473 "for the kids." Seventy nine of the shavees were a member of the 18 participating teams. See pictures of that event and the fun we had!

• In 2011, St Baldrick's of Upstate SC plans to again gather at Larkin's on the River at Peace Center's Wyche Pavilion, March 20, beginning at 1:00 PM, with a goal of raising $100,000 "for the kids."

• Corporate Sponsors have contributed very significantly to previous events, and we expect those contributions to increase during the 2011 season.
• If you are a decision maker of an organization, we invite you to step right up and be counted.
• If you are able to influence your organization, we stand ready to help you bring it to the table.
• Teams play a major role in bring shavees to the barber's chair, each with a contribution "for the kids." We will be glad to help you get them together.
• Volunteer to be a shavee. We'll help you solicit your friends, relatives and neighbors to contribute on your behalf.
• Volunteer to solicit one or more Corporate Sponsors.
• Contribute on behalf of a shavee.
• Contribute on behalf of a loved one.
• Contribute as a general donation, "for the kids."
• Pick up the tab, for local expenses.
